How much do self-adhesive labels cost?

Self-Adhesive Labels 1 min read Updated August 29, 2026

Self-adhesive label cost is driven by size, face material, adhesive type, print method, number of colours, finishing, and order quantity, not a fixed per-piece rate. There is no universal price, since a small flexo-printed label in one colour costs very differently from a large, foil-stamped digital label in five colours.

Larger labels use more substrate and ink and typically cost more per piece; smaller labels may be cheaper but can reach minimum-order or setup-cost thresholds sooner. Material choice matters: coated or chromo paper is generally more economical than specialty films such as PET, BOPP, or metallised film. Adhesive grade, such as standard permanent, removable, low-temperature, or low-surface-energy adhesive, also affects cost, as does print complexity and the number of colours on conventional presswork.

Finishing such as foil stamping, embossing, or spot UV varnish adds a separate production step and cost. Order quantity has the largest effect on unit price: flexographic printing has upfront plate costs that are amortised across the run, so unit price drops sharply at higher volumes, while digital printing has no plate cost and suits shorter runs at a flatter per-unit price. Because Jainytic prices are quoted against a specific specification and quantity, an accurate cost figure requires sharing the label size, material, colours, finish, and volume with the manufacturer for a formal quotation.
